2020 — When I Found Trading
I started trading around 2020.
But I want to be honest about how I started.
I didn't understand trading.
I didn't understand institutional behavior, liquidity, market structure, risk management, or even many of the basic things that I talk about today.
Even creating a trading account and getting started felt difficult to me.
So what did I do?
I went to YouTube.
I watched videos.
I saw other people trading.
I copied what they were doing.
I watched a setup and tried to copy it.
Someone drew something on a chart, I tried drawing it too.
Someone entered a trade, I wanted to understand how they entered.
I was learning from the outside without understanding what was happening underneath.
And emotionally, I was completely different from the person I am today.
I was emotional.
I overthought.
I became attached to trades.
I became frustrated.
I wanted results.
And when the market didn't give me what I wanted, I didn't always know how to respond.
I was trying to trade the market without understanding the person sitting behind the screen.
Me.
